The classical Busemann-Petty problem in Convex Geometry asks if \(K\) and \(L\) are origin-symmetric convex bodies in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) so that \(Vol_{n-1} (K\cap u^\perp) \leq Vol_{n-1} (L\cap u^\perp)\) for all unit vectors \(u\), does it follow that \(Vol_{n} (K) \leq Vol_{n} (L)\)? Here \(Vol_{n-1}\) and \(Vol_{n}\) stand for the corresponding volume functions and \(u^\perp\) is the central hyperplane perpendicular to \(u\). If \(IK\) and \(IL\) are Lutwak's intersection bodies of \(K\) and \(L\), respectively, the problem can be reformulated in the ``volume form'' as follows: Is it true that \(IK \subseteq IL\) implies \(Vol_{n} (K) \leq Vol_{n} (L)\)? The authors consider several modifications of the Busemann-Petty problem in the volume form when the concept of intersection body is replaced by its \(L_p\) analogues. Remark of the Reviewer: It is worth mentioning the following related publications: [the reviewer and \textit{G. Zhang}, J. Funct. Anal. 213, No. 2, 473--501 (2004; Zbl 1056.52004); the reviewer, Introduction to Radon transforms. With elements of fractional calculus and harmonic analysis. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press (2015; Zbl 1333.44002)] (see Section 5.4 and references therein).
