The paper is devoted to constructing an explicit Harish-Chandra isomorphism, from the quantum Hamiltonian reduction of the algebra \(\mathcal{D}_q(\mathrm{GL}_2)\) of quantum differential operators on \(\mathrm{GL}_2\), to the spherical double affine Hecke algebra (DAHA) associated to \(\mathrm{GL}_2\). The isomorphism holds for all deformation parameters \(q\in \mathbb{C}^\times\) and \(t\neq \pm i\), such that \(q\) is not a non-trivial root of unity. An outline of the paper is as follows. In Section 2, the authors recalled the definition of the double affine Hecke algebra \(\mathbb{H}\) of \(\mathrm{GL}_2\) and its spherical subalgebra \(e\mathbb{H} e\), and they gave an explicit presentation and a PBW basis for the latter. In Section 3 the authors recalled the definitions quantum enveloping algebra \(U_q\mathfrak{gl}_2\), the quantum coordinate algebra \(\mathcal{O}_q(GL_2)\), the algebra \(\mathcal{D}_q(\mathrm{GL}_2)\) of polynomial quantum differential operators, and the Hamiltonian reduction \(\mathcal{D}_q(\mathrm{GL}_2)/\!/_{\mathcal{I}_t} U\) of \(\mathcal{D}_q(\mathrm{GL}_2)\). Section 4 contains the main result, the Theorem, which constructs an isomorphism between the spherical DAHA and the Hamiltonian reduction of \(\mathcal{D}_q(GL_2)\). This result follows directly from the presentations of these two algebras from Theorems, which constitute the main technical contribution of the paper and its proofs are delayed until Section 5, and Section 6.
