Let \(D\) be the unit disk in the complex plane and \(H(D)\) be the family of all functions holomorphic in \(D\). Suppose \(f\in H(D)\) and \(z_0\in D\). If \(f'(z_0)\neq 0\), then there exists a neighborhood \(U\) of \(z_0\) such that \(f(z)\) is univalent in \(U\) and \(f(U)\) is a disk with center \(f(z_0)\) and radius \(r_0\), we call such a disk a univalent disk of \(f\) with radius \(r_0\). Let \(r(z_0,f)\) denote the radius of the largest univalent disk of \(f\) with center \(f(z_0)\). Define \(r(f)=\sup_{z\in D}r(z,f)\) and \[ B=\inf\{r(f): f\in H(D), f'(0)=1\}. \] \(B\) is called Bloch's constant. For a positive integer \(n\), define \[ H_n(D)= \{ f\in H(D): \forall a\in D, f'(a)=0 \Rightarrow f^{(k)}(a)=0 \;\text{for}\;k=1,2,\dots ,n\}, \] the Bloch constant for \(H_n(D)\) is defined by \[ B_n =\inf\{r(f): f\in H_n(D), f'(0)=1\}. \] Applying Ahlfors' method in [\textit{L. V. Ahlfors}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 43, No. 3, 359--364 (1938; Zbl 0018.41002)] implies that the lower bounds for \(B_n\): \[ B_n \geq\frac{\sqrt{n(n+2)}}{2(n+1)}. \] In the paper under review, the authors improve the result by showing that \[ B_n > \frac{\sqrt{n(n+2)}}{2(n+1)} + \frac{3\times 10^{-15}}{n^3}. \]
