In the present study the authors are interested in the existence of positive solutions for the following Dirichlet problem \[ -\Delta_pu=f(x,u)\quad\text{in }\Omega, \qquad u=0\quad\text{on }\partial\Omega, \] where \(\Delta_pu:= \text{div}(|\nabla u|^{p-2}\nabla u)\), \(p>1\), \(\Omega\) is a bounded domain in \(\mathbb R^N\) and \(N>p\). The authors prove the existence of at least one positive solution. To this end they use topological degree.
