The authors deal with the nonexistence of solutions to a class of evolution inequalities. The results do not require any assumption on the regularity of data and have wide range of applications. To this end, the authors use the test-function method introduced by Mitidieri and Pokhozhaev. Using a simple and not technical argument, they study the nonexistence of solutions (not only positive) to a general nonhomogeneous problem and are able to show how the blow-up of solutions depend on the data.
