Die Arbeit befaßt sich mit Poincaréreihen \(P_ f(g)= \sum_{H\cap \Gamma\setminus\Gamma} f(\gamma g)\) für arithmetische Untergruppen \(\Gamma\) halbeinfacher reeller, über \(\mathbb{Q}\) definierter Gruppen \(G\); dabei ist \(H\) Untergruppe der Fixpunkte einer Involution in \(G\). Der Autor entwickelt Kriterien dafür, wann \(P_ f\) konvergiert und eine Spitzenform darstellt. Anwendbar sind diese Kriterien auf die orthogonale Gruppe gewisser quadratischer Formen vom \(\mathbb{R}\)-Index 1 in 4 und 5 Variablen.
