The author studies the local and global solutions of a nonlinear model arising in the theory of growing cell populations. The model under study turns out to be an integro-partial differential equation with nonlinear boundary condition. And the purpose of this paper is to present the existence and uniqueness theorems of solutions of the above mentioned equation. Fixed point theorems, such as the Schauder and Krasnosel'skii theorems, are used in the proofs of existence results.
