Metastability of Ginzburg-Landau model with a conservation law (Q1896795): Difference between revisions

The author considers the hydrodynamics of Ginzburg-Landau dynamics. Amongst the topics discussed are long-range interactions and the large deviations associated with short-range models. Particular attention is paid to the metastable region and a treatment is given of entropy production for both long and short range interactions. During the course of the analysis, bounds on several quantities are given. The treatment is entirely theoretical and there are no comparisons of the theory with experimental results.
