\textit{A. K. Bousfield} [Am. J. Math. 107, 895--932 (1985; Zbl 0585.55004)] gave an algebraic classification of isomorphism classes of objects in the \(E(1)\)-local stable local homotopy category \(L_1\mathbf{S}\) for an odd prime. Then, \textit{J. Franke} [``Uniqueness theorems for certain triangulated categories with an Adams spectral sequence'', K-theory preprint archives 139 (1996)] obtained an equivalence of categories between \(L_1\mathbf{S}\) and the derived category of certain twisted chain complexes of \(E(1)_\ast E(1)\)-comodules. The author uses the methods developed by Franke to obtain algebraic classification results for modules over certain symmetric ring spectra. In particular, it is shown that for any symmetric ring spectrum \(R\) whose graded homotopy ring \(\pi_\ast R\) has graded global homological dimension two and is concentrated in degrees divisible by some natural number \(n\geq 4\), the homotopy category of \(R\)-modules is equivalent to the derived category of \(\pi_\ast R\). This improves the classification presented by \textit{J. J. Wolbert} [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 124, No. 1--3, 289--323 (1998; Zbl 0911.55005)].
