In this paper, the stability of spline approximations on quasi-uniform univariate meshes (for degree one) or uniform meshes (for degrees two to four) of knots is considered. The splines are defined on intervals of increasing finite length, and they are allowed to map real values from those intervals into an arbitrary Banach-space. Convergence estimates and stability of the approximations are provided, and the norm in which those values are studied is the Chebyshev norm. The approximants are computed by projection into the mentioned spline space. The results are valid up to spline degree four, and additional computational results are offered up to degree seven.
