In this paper the Walsh series expansions of multivariate functions in \(L^p \;(1\leq p \leq \infty)\) and, in particular, in \(\mathrm{Lip}(\alpha, p)\) are studied. The rate of uniform approximation by the T-transformation of the rectangular partial sums of double Walsh series to these functions is investigated. The authors extend the concepts of rest (head) bounded variation series, which was introduced by \textit{L. Leindler} [Acta Math. Hung. 104, No. 1--2, 105--113 (2004; Zbl 1069.42002)], and they generalize the related results of \textit{F. Móricz} and \textit{B. E. Rhoades} [Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 19, No. 1, 1--8 (1996; Zbl 0835.41023)], \textit{K. Nagy} [Math. Inequal. Appl. 15, No. 2, 301--322 (2012; Zbl 1243.42038)]. The obtained results can be applied to many summability methods, including the Nörlund summability and weighted summability.
