For \(\lambda \in \mathbb C\setminus [0,1]\) let \(X_\lambda \) be the elliptic curve \(X_\lambda:= \{y^2=x(x-1)(x-\lambda)\} \). Then the author studies the asymptotic behavior of the Bergman metric of \(X_\lambda\), when \(\lambda\) tends to the origin. In local coordinates \(z\) one can write the Bergmen kernel form \(B_\lambda\) as \(B_\lambda = k_\lambda dz \wedge d \bar z\). The main result of the article is then \[ \log\,k_\lambda \approx -\log (-\log |\lambda|) \] and \[ i \, \partial_\lambda \overline \partial_\lambda \log k_\lambda (z) \approx i \frac{d \lambda \wedge d \overline \lambda}{4|\lambda|^2 (\log |\lambda|)^2} , \] when \(\lambda\) tends to \(0\).
