By using critical point theory, the authors prove the existence of at least three nontrivial solutions to a partial difference equation involving \((p, q)\)-Laplacian operator. Under certain nonlinearity assumptions, the positivity of the three solutions to the given problem is also discussed with the aid of the strong maximum principle.
