    The authors study the Lotka-Volterra competition model with diffusion, that is, \[ u_t= u_{xx} +f(u,v), \quad v_t= dv_{xx} +g(u,v), \quad u(0,x) \geq 0,\;v(0,x) \geq 0, \] where \(f(u,v)= (1-u- cv)u\), \(g(u,v) =(a- bu-v)v\), \(x\in \mathbb{R}\), \(t>0\), and \(a,b,c,d\) are positive constants. They establish a theorem on the asymptotic stability of monotone travelling waves relative to the space of bounded uniformly continuous functions with the supremum norm.
