Summary: A new estimate for the degree of approximation of a function \(f \in H_\omega\) by \((N_p \cdot E^1)\) means of its Fourier series has been determined. We extend the results of \textit{T. Singh} and \textit{P. Mahajan} [Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 2008, Article ID 495075, 9 p. (2008; Zbl 1278.41008)] which in turn generalize the result of \textit{S. Lal} and \textit{K. N. S. Yadav} [Bull. Calcutta Math. Soc. 93, No. 3, 191--196 (2001; Zbl 1032.42003)]. Some corollaries have also been deduced from our main theorem.
