Let \(\mathbb{H}^{n+1}\) denote the \((n+1)\)-dimensional hyperbolic space. Let \(\Delta=\delta d\) be the Laplacian and let \(V\in L^\infty_{\mathrm{cpt}}(\mathbb{H}^{n+1},\mathbb{C})\) be a potential function which is essentially bounded and compactly supported. One considers the Schrödinger operator \(\Delta+V\). The authors examine the asymptotic distribution of resonances for scattering establishing an upper bound for the resonance counting function; the upper bound only depends on the underlying dimension \(n+1\) and on the support of the potential function. A Weyl law is then proved for radial potentials which vanish to some finite order at the edge of the support. Additional resonance asymptotic are obtained which hold generically.
