The first eigenvalue of Finsler \(p\)-Laplacian (Q2252602): Difference between revisions

The eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of \(p\)-Laplacian on Finsler manifolds are defined to be critical values and critical points of the canonical energy functional. Based on it, the authors generalize some eigenvalue comparision theorems of the \(p\)-Laplacian on Riemannian manifolds, such as the Lichnerowicz type estimate, an Obata-type theorem and a Mckean-type theorem, to the Finsler setting. In Section 1, some fundamental formulas and some lemmas, necessary for the current paper, are given. The existence theorem for the first eigenvalue functions of a Finsler \(p\)-Laplacian is also proved. In Section 2, the Lichnerowicz-type estimate and Obata-type theorem (Theorems 2.3 and 2.4) are proved in the Finsler setting. In Section 3, Mckean-type theorems (Theorem 3.5 and 3.6) on Finsler \(p\)-Laplacians are given.
