The elastic interior transmission eigenvalue problem is considered. It is reformulated as a quadratic eigenvalue problem. To solve the problem, the Ciarlet-Raviart mixed method is applied to the problem at hand. The authors establish two mixed methods for the obtained mixed variational form. Those two methods are either based on classical Lagrange finite elements or on spectral elements. Further, error estimates are shown for the discrete eigenpairs. Additionally, numerical experiments are given complementing the theoretical analysis. Efficiently computed real- and complex-valued elastic interior transmission eigenvalues are reported.
