Let \(H\) be a subgroup of a finite group \(G\), let \((\mathcal{K,O},k)\) be a sufficiently large \(p\)-modular system where \(p\) is a prime number, and let \(e\) be an idempotent in \(Z({\mathcal O}H)\) such that \(e({^ge})=0\) for all \(g\in G-H\). The author shows that the algebras \({\mathcal O}He\) and \({\mathcal O}G\text{Tr}_H^G(e)\) are ``equivalent'' from various points of view: they have equivalent module categories, and their categories of local pointed groups and their categories of Brauer pairs are equivalent. Moreover, these algebras are isotypic. The results in this paper generalize facts familiar from Clifford theory.
