This paper considers the operator norm transitivity of continuous linear operators on the operator algebra \(B(X)\) for a separable Banach space \(X\). The author proves that the transitivity of a semigroup \(\mathcal{A}\) of continuous linear mappings on \(B(X)\) with the operator norm implies that \(\mathcal{A}\) is hypercyclic for the strong operator topology. In particular, every operator norm transitive continuous linear mapping on \(B(X)\) is hypercyclic for the strong operator topology. As a consequence, the strong operator topology transitive semigroups of left multiplication operators on \(B(X)\) are characterized. Left multiplication operators are never norm transitive. An example of a continuous linear operator \(L\) on \(B(\ell^2(\mathbb Z))\) that is transitive but not hypercyclic for the strong operator topology is given.
