Consider a linear system of differential equations, \[ x'=A(t)x,\quad x\in{\mathbb R}^n, \] and its perturbation, \[ y'=A(t)y+Q(t)y. \] Let \(M\) be a class of perturbations. Consider the quantity \[ \Lambda(M)=\sup\{\lambda_n(A+Q):Q\in M\}, \] where \(\lambda_n\) is the largest exponent of the perturbed system. The authors study the problem of calculation of the value \(\Lambda(M)\) for several classes \(M\) (for example, for perturbations that are bounded by nonmonotone functions and perturbations that are integrable on the half-line with a nonmonotone weight).
