To a bounded symmetric domain \(D\) of tube type, there is a natural symmetric space \(M\) of Caley type, which is a higher dimensional analogue of a one-sheeted hyperboloid in \(\mathbb R^3\), and has a natural causal structure \(\mathcal C\) and hence forms an important class of causal symmetric spaces. This paper determines the causal automorphism group \(\Aut(M, \mathcal C)\) of \(M\) and clarifies the relation with the holomorphic automorphism group \(G(D)\) of \(D\). Specifically, when \(\dim_{\mathbb C}D\geq 2\), \(G(D)\) is contained in \(\Aut(M, \mathcal C)\) as a subgroup of index 2; and when \(\dim_{\mathbb C}D =1\), \(\Aut(M, \mathcal C)\) is infinite dimensional.
