The authors deal with a generalization of the celebrated Sharkovsky cycle coexistence theorem. For lower-semicontinuous maps, they obtain a full analogy of Schrimer's theorem, by means of an appropriately modified Michael's selection theorem. On this basis, the authors also establish a further extension for triangular lower-semicontinuous maps on a Cartesian product of metrizable linear continua.
