The authors study the bifurcation of \(T\)-periodic solutions for \(n\)-dimensional differential systems of the form \[ x'(t)= F_0(t,x)+\varepsilon F_1(t, x)+ \varepsilon^2 R(t,x,\varepsilon),\tag{\(*\)} \] where \(\varepsilon\) is a small parameter (bifurcation parameter), \(F_0\), \(F_1\) and \(R\) are \(C^2\)-functions \(T\)-periodic in the first variable. The key assumption is that for \(\varepsilon= 0\) system \((*)\) has a manifold of \(T\)-periodic solutions, the goal is to derive conditions that some of these periodic solutions persist for small \(\varepsilon\). The proof is based on the application of the Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction method to the finite-dimensional Poincaré map. The same problem was solved before by \textit{I. G. Malkin} [Some problems of the theory of nonlinear oscillations (Russian) Moscow: Gostekhizdat (1956; Zbl 0070.08703)] and \textit{M. Roseau} [Nonlinear vibrations and stability theory (French) (1966; Zbl 0135.30603) by another approach.
