The authors consider the nonlinear singular boundary value problem \[ \begin{aligned} & (p(t)u'(t))' + f(t,u(t)) = 0 \quad \text{for } t \in (0,\infty), t\neq t_k,\\ & \Delta u'(t_k) = I_k(u(t_k)), \quad k = 1,\dots,n,\\ & \alpha u(0) - \beta\lim_{t\to 0+} p(t)u'(t) = 0,\\ & \gamma u(\infty) + \delta \lim_{t\to\infty} p(t)u'(t) = 0, \end{aligned} \] where \(0 < t_1 < \dots < t_n\), \(f\), \(p\) are continuous, \(p > 0\) on \((0,\infty)\). They obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of at least two positive solutions. The proofs are based on the application of a fixed point theorem in cones.
