This nice state-of-art overview describes in 12 sections the main trends of the recent development of mathematical fuzzy logic. Special attention is paid to fuzzy logics as systems of formal logic constituted by a formalized language, by a semantics, and by a calculus for the derivation of formulas. Besides the logical approach also some algebraic aspects, e.g. algebraic semantics, are discussed. Finally, some recent applications are recalled, namely in fuzzy set theory, fuzzy relation equations and nonmonotonic fuzzy reasoning.
