A pair of complex matrices \(\{ A,B\}\) is said to be regular if \(\det (A+\lambda B)\neq 0\), for any complex \(\lambda\). The pair of complex numbers \((\alpha,\beta)\neq (0,0)\) is called a generalized eigenvalue of a regular pair \(\{ A,B\}\), if \(\det (\beta A-\alpha B)=0\). The aim of this paper is to extend two perturbation bounds established by \textit{J. G. Sun} [Math. Numer. Sin. 4, 23--29 (1982; Zbl 0537.15005)] to regular matrix pairs which are diagonalizable.
