The present paper deals with the existence of the unique strong solution of the Cauchy problem for the incompressible flow governed by \[ (\partial_t+\mathbf{u}\cdot\nabla)\mathbf{u}-\Delta \mathbf{u}+|\mathbf{u}|^{\beta-1}\mathbf{u}=-\nabla p, \] in \(\mathbb{R}^3\times \mathbb{R}^+\), where \(1\leq \beta\leq 7/3\). Firstly, the local solution \(\mathbf{u}\in C([0,T];H^2(\mathbb{R}^3))\cap L^2(0,T;H^3(\mathbb{R}^3))\), for \(\beta\geq 1\) and solenoidal initial data in \(H^2(\mathbb{R}^3)\), is recognized as obtained by the mollifier approach from [\textit{A. J. Majda} and \textit{A. L. Bertozzi}, Vorticity and incompressible flow. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press (2002; Zbl 0983.76001)]. Hence, the author considers the axisymmetric (without swirl) solution, i.e. its vorticity \(\boldsymbol{\omega}=\omega_\theta \mathbf{e}_\theta\) in cylindrical coordinates. Then, the author establishes some estimates for the vorticity and concludes by the contradiction argument that the global in-time solution exists.
