It is known that a symmetry algebra of a first integral is a subalgebra of the equation that gave rise to the first integral. In this paper, the authors investigate the symmetry properties of first integrals and configurational invariants of \(n\)th-order ordinary differential equations of maximal symmetry which arise from autonomous integrating factors. They look at various examples and note some interesting emerging patterns. These are captured in the propositions they present. Further work in this direction can be done for the linear equations of sub-maximal symmetry.
