The authors consider the bivariate Hermite interpolation introduced by \textit{B. Bojanov} and \textit{Y. Xu} [SIAM J. Numer. Anal. 39, No. 5, 1780--1793 (2002; Zbl 1014.41002)]. The nodes of this interpolation with \(\Pi_{2k-\delta}\) where \(\delta= 0\) or \(1\), are the intersection points of \(2k+1\) distinct rays from the origin with a multiset of \(k+1-\delta\) concentric circles centered at the origin, \(\Pi_n\) being the space of bivariate polynomials of total degree \(\leq n\). The poisedness of this interpolation was proved only for the set of equi-distant rays (Bojanov-Xu). The authors show that the poisedness of this \((k+1-\delta)(2k+1)\)-dimensional Hermite interpolation problem is equivalent to the poisedness of certain \(2k+1\)-dimenisonal Lagrange interpolation problems. Consequently, the poisedness of Bojanov-Xu interpolation for a wide family of sets of rays satisfying some simple conditions is established. The results of the authors hold also when the circles are replaced by ellipses, hyperboles and pairs of parallel lines.
