A recent result of Seregin proves that the solutions of the Stokes system formulated in a cylinder are Hölder continuous near the flat part of the boundary when homogeneous boundary conditions are prescribed on this part. The present paper shows that the result cannot be extended to the normal derivatives of the solutions. The proof is done by constructing an explicit representation for the solution in half-space with a non-homogeneous Dirichlet boundary datum which is compactly supported in the unit disk. Then, the pressure \(p\) is \(L^q\) \((q<2)\) and velocity \(u\) is Hölder continuous up to the boundary, but the normal derivatives of the tangential components of \(u\) are unbounded.
