    In the paper under review, the author claimed a generalization for the symmetry between complete symmetric functions \(h_k\) and elementary symmetric functions \(e_k\). The main result is as follows. If two sequences \(\{a_n\}_{n\geq 0}\) and \(\{b_n\}_{n\geq 0}\) satisfy \[ \sum_{k=0}(-1)^k a_kb_{n-k}=\delta_{0n}, \] then \[ \frac{a_n}{a_0}=\sum_{t_1+2t_2+\cdots +nt_n=n}(-1)^{n+t_1+\cdots+t_n}\binom{t_1+\cdots+t_n}{t_1,\ldots,t_n} \left(\frac{b_1}{b_0}\right)^{t_1}\cdots \left(\frac{b_n}{b_0}\right)^{t_n} \] and \[ \frac{b_n}{b_0}=\sum_{t_1+2t_2+\cdots +nt_n=n}(-1)^{n+t_1+\cdots+t_n}\binom{t_1+\cdots+t_n}{t_1,\ldots,t_n} \left(\frac{a_1}{a_0}\right)^{t_1}\cdots \left(\frac{a_n}{a_0}\right)^{t_n}. \] In fact, this generalization is just the original symmetry between \(h_k\) and \(e_k\) by a specialization of symmetric functions, precisely, letting \(h_k=\frac{a_k}{a_0}\) and \(e_k=\frac{b_k}{b_0}\). The author also gave some applications of this symmetry, which might be of certain interest.
