In this article, the author gives an elementary counterexample to a fiber theorem claimed by \textit{F. Fumagalli} in [J. Algebra 283, No.~2, 639--654 (2005; Zbl 1059.55005), Corollary 5]. A second counterexample to this fiber theorem shows also that a formula given by F. Fumagalli in the same paper (Formula (5) in the proof of Lemma 19) is not true in general. ``As a consequence, whether the poset \(A_p(G)\) is homotopy equivalent to a wedge of spheres for any finite solvable group \(G\) seems to remain an open question.''
