Let \(A\) be a complete local Noetherian domain of dimension exceeding \(1\). The author proves that the absolute Galois group of \(K=\text{Quot}(A)\) is semi-free. In particular, the absolute Galois group of \(K=F((X_1,\dots,X_n))\) is semi-free, for \(n>1\). If \(A\) is a Krull domain, complete with respect to an ideal \(\mathfrak p\), and equipped with a large family of `nice' valuations, then \(\text{Gal}(\text{Quot}(A))\) is semi-free. The absolute Galois group of the field of formal power series in infinitely many variables over an arbitrary field is semi-free.
