This paper is concerned with the study of the heat flow of \(f\)-harmonic maps from \(S^2\) into \(S^2\). The main result of the paper establishes a sufficient condition for the existence of solutions for all \(0\leq t<+\infty\). There are also given some examples of finite time blow up solutions having blow up points as local maximum points. The proofs rely mainly on standard energy estimates for nonlinear parabolic problems.
