The paper under review is concerned with capillary and capillary-gravity water waves arising as the free surface of a rotational water flow of finite depth and allowing for stagnation points. More precisely, the author constructs global continua of solutions to the above mentioned water wave problem. His approach relies on the possibility to invert the curvature operator in the Bernoulli condition which reduces the problem to an equation for a compact, nonlinear and nonlocal perturbation of the identity. This makes the problem amenable to the usage of Rabinowitz's global bifurcation theorem. In addition to constructing global branches of solutions the author also derives qualitative results pertaining to the regularity of the surface wave.
