The author considers the differential system \[ \frac{\partial W(z_1,z_2,\dots ,z_n)}{\partial z_k} = \rho A_k(z_1,z_2,\dots ,z_n)W,\qquad 1\leq j\leq n,\tag{1} \] where \(A_k(z_1,z_2,\dots ,z_n)\) and \(W(z_1,z_2,\dots ,z_n)\) are \(m\times m\) matrix functions and the function \(A_k(z_1,z_2,\dots ,z_n)\) has the form \[ A_k(z_1,z_2,\dots ,z_n) = \sum_{\substack{ j=1\\ j\neq k}} \frac{P_{k,j}}{z_k-z_j},\tag{2} \] where \(z_k\neq z_j\) for \(k\neq j\). The matrices \(P_{j,k}\) are related to the matrix representation of the symmetric group \(S_n\). The author constructs an explicit solution of the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov system with \(n=4\) and \(m=2\) in terms of hypergeometric functions. The author proves that this solution is rational when the parameter \(\rho\) is integer. It is shown that the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov system has no rational solution in the case when \(n=5\), \(m=5\), and \(\rho\) is integer.
