A \textit{symplectic instanton vector bundle of rank $2r$ and charge $n$} on $\mathbb{P}^3$ is an algebraic vector bundle $E$ on $\mathbb{P}^3$ of rank $2r$, equipped with a symplectic structure $\phi:E\to E^\vee$, $\phi^\vee=-\phi$, and satisfying the vanishing conditions $h^0(E)=h^1(E(-2))=0$.
