In this paper, totally ordered effect algebras \((E; +, 0, 1)\) are considered, endowed with the uniform structure consisting of all sets \(V \subseteq E \times E\) containing a set of the form \(\{(a,b): a \leq b \text{ and } b-a \in I, \text{ or } b \leq a \text{ and } a-b \in I \}\) for some ideal \(I\) of \(E\). The following theorem is proved: Assume that for any countable set of pairwise orthogonal elements, their finite sums converge in the corresponding topology. Furthermore, let \((a_{ij})_{i,j < \omega}\) be a matrix of elements of \(E\) such that (i) for each \(j\), the \(j\)-th column converges to some \(a_j\) and (ii) for each \(i\), the \(i\)-th row consists of pairwise orthogonal elements, and each of its subsequences has a subsequence whose finite sums form a Cauchy sequence. Then \((a_{ij})_i\) converges to \(a_j\) uniformly for each~\(j\).
