Let \(f\) be a Maass cusp form for the full modular group \(\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb{Z})\), which is eigenfunction of all Hecke operators \(T_n\), and let \(\lambda_{\mathrm{sym}^2}f (n)\) be the \(n\)-th coefficient of symmetric square \(L\)-function associated with \(f(z)\). For \( A\geq 2\) fixed, the number \(M(A)\) is defined as the infimum of all numbers \(M\) such that \[ \int_1^T|L(1/2+it,\mathrm{Sym}^2f)|^A \ll_f T^{M+\epsilon}, \] where \(L(s,\mathrm{Sym}^2f)\) is the automorphic \(L\)-function attached to \(f\). In the paper under review, the authors provide some explicit upper bounds for \(M(A)\) in terms of \(A\) using the integral mean value of \(L(1/2+it,\mathrm{Sym}^2f)\) in short interval by the exponential averaging technique. Finally, they use power moments of symmetric square \(L\)-function to obtain the zero density estimates of symmetric square \(L\)-function.
