The authors study the fundamental matrix \(\phi(t)\) of solutions of a \(d\)-dimensional system of linear differential equations \(\phi'= A(t)\phi\), \(\phi(0)= I\), with \(A(t)\), \(\phi(t)\in \mathbb{C}^{d\times d}\) and \(I\) the identity matrix. If \(\phi_0(t)\) is an initial approximation of \(\phi(t)\) and the relative error function is written as \(R(t)= I-\phi_0(t)\phi^{-1}(t)\), then the associated left ordered product representation for \(\phi(t)\) is given by \(\phi(t)= \prod^\infty_{k=0} (I- R_k(t))^{-1}\phi_0(t)\), where the matrix sequence \(\{R_k\}_{k> 0}\) is generated by a certain iterative process. They give conditions on \(\phi_0(t)\) guaranteeing that the infinite product in this representation is absolutely convergent.
