On monomial bases in the mod \(p\) Steenrod algebra (Q499956): Difference between revisions

\textit{C. T. C. Wall} gave in [Ann. Math. (2) 72, 429--444 (1960; Zbl 0137.16603)] some monomial bases for the \(\mathbb{Z}/2\)-Steenrod algebra (see also [\textit{D. Arnon}, J. Pure Appl. Algebra 96, No.3, 215-223 (1994; Zbl 0840.55012)]) and proved maximality properties with respect to suitable lexicographic orderings. The paper under review gives similar results for the reduced Steenrod algebra (that is, the subalgebra of Steenrod algebra generated by Steenrod reduced powers, without Bockstein) in odd characteristic -- the author asserts that \textit{I. Karaca}'s article [Czech. Math. J. 55, No. 3, 699-707 (2005; Zbl 1081.55016)] supposed to make this contains a mistake (in its Proposition 2.3).
