Generic constructibility and uniformity in \(\ell\) (Q2124312): Difference between revisions

The present paper presents various results on generic constructibility and independence of \(\ell\) for direct images in étale cohomology in the case of constant coefficients \(\mathbb{Z}/\ell^n \mathbb{Z}\) or \(\mathbb{Z}_{\ell}\). The author gives an application of a result of Serre of independence of \(\ell\)-adic representations [\textit{J.-P. Serre}, Comment. Math. Helv. 88, No. 3, 541--554 (2013; Zbl 1317.14040)]. Then he formulates questions in the case of nonconstant coefficients.
