An operator \(T\) acting on a Banach space satisfies Weyl's theorem if the intersection of the spectra of all its compact perturbations consists in all points of the spectrum of \(T\) which are not isolated eigenvalues of finite multiplicity of \(T\). Introducing the notion of ``Weyl-Saphar'' spectra, the authors study Weyl's theorem and its permanence properties under functional calculus. In the same spirit, the authors study a-Weyl's theorem, which is a variant of Weyl's theorem in the case of the approximate spectrum. In the last part of this paper, the authors study finite rank perturbations for a-Weyl's theorem. We mention here that Theorem 2.3 has already been obtained by \textit{D. S. Djordjevic} in [Publ. Math. 55, No. 3--4, 283--298 (1999; Zbl 0938.47008), Theorem 3.4].
