The main purpose of this paper is to develop a numerical algorithm using fractional homotopy transforms to study the fractional version of Liénard's equations. This is challenging, because it involves the solution of some higher order fractional differential equations. The authors propose the use of the fractional homotopy analysis transform, which is a hybrid approach, combining elements of previous methods involving Laplace transforms and the homotopy analysis method and homotopy polynomials. The authors begin by providing background and definitions and then they show how their proposed method can be applied to the fractional Liénard equations. There is a section considering existence and uniqueness theory. The paper concludes with some numerical results and proposes the method for more general nonlinear higher order fractional problems.
