The authors give a construction of a class of unbounded Jacobi matrices with few gaps in the essential spectrum. Absolutely continuous spectra of them fill some bounded intervals (a~finite number). The sets of their eigenvalues can accumulate only at \(-\infty\) and \(+\infty\). Asymptotic formulae for the eigenvalues are also given.
