In this paper, the authors investigate the \(XYZ\) spin chain generated by the Hamiltonian \[ H_{XYZ}=-\frac{1}{2}\sum_{j=1}^{N}[J_x\sigma^ x_{j} \sigma^ x_{j^+1}+J_y\sigma^ y_{j} \sigma^ y_{j^+1}+J_z\sigma^ z_{j} \sigma^ z_{j^+1}] \] The authors discuss several conjectures related to the ground state vectors of odd-length XYZ spin chains with periodic boundary conditions and a special choice of the Hamiltonian parameters. To study eight-vertex model and the XYZ chain, the authors use the parameterization of the Boltzmann weights of the eight-vertex model proposed by \textit{R. J. Baxter} [Ann. Phys. 70, 193--228 (1972; Zbl 0236.60070)]. Using the relation to the eight-vertex model, the explicit form of an eigenvector of the Hamiltonian \(H_{XYZ}\) with eigenvalue \(E= -\frac{N}{2}(Jx + Jy + Jz)\) is obtained. The authors argue that in the case where condition \(J_xJ_y + J_yJ_z + J_zJ_x = 0\) is satisfied and \(N\) is odd, the Hamiltonian has an eigenvector with eigenvalue \(E=-\frac{N}{2}(Jx + Jy + Jz)\). The authors consider the transfer matrix of the inhomogeneous eight-vertex model. Under some conditions, the authors show that the transfer matrix reduces to the transfer matrix of the homogeneous model, and the eigenvectors of the transfer matrix reduce to eigenvectors of the homogeneous model.
