The authors work with spaces of \(W\)-type (defined by \textit{I. M. Gel'fand} and \textit{G. E. Shilov} [Generalized functions. Vol. 3. Theory of differential equations. Translated by Meinhard E. Mayer. New York-San Francisco-London: Academic Press (1967; Zbl 0355.46017)]) and study the action of the fractional Fourier transform on them. Then, a class of symbols for pseudo-differential operators is introduced, and the continuity of the corresponding operators on the space \(W_M\) is established.
