The author generalizes the definition of a prime decomposition which he defined earlier for \(\theta_n\) curves to a prime decomposition for handcuff graphs which are graphs in the \(3\)-sphere consisting of two circles joined by an edge. The main result is that every irreducible handcuff graph can be uniquely decomposed into a finite number of prime handcuff graphs and \(\theta\) curves.
