Let \(\dot{B}^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\) and \(\dot{F}^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\) with \(s\in \mathbb R\) and \(0<p,q \leq \infty\) be the nowadays well-known scales of homogeneous function spaces. These spaces have been morreyfied resulting in corresponding Morrey-type spaces \(\dot{B}^{s,\tau}_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\) and \(\dot{F}^{s,\tau}_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\), where \(0 \leq \tau <\infty\) refers to the related Morrey parameter. These spaces have attracted some attention in recent times. Of special interest are their preduals \(B\dot{H}^{s, \tau}_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\) and \(F\dot{H}^{s, \tau}_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\), defined in terms of Hausdorff capacities. It is one of the main aims of this paper to prove (in Section 3) for all these spaces characterizations in terms of continuous local means. This gives the possibility to identify these spaces (in Section 5) with corresponding co-orbit spaces called Peetre type spaces of \(B\)-type and \(F\)-type (using Peetre's related maximal functions). As a consequence, the authors describe in Section 6 characterizations of these spaces in terms of biorthogonal wavelets.
